With the 2010 Soccer World Cup coming to South Africa, the proposed Integrated Rapid Transport (IRT) System commenced design and construction with the development of the Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) System.

Our role in the project was to design adequate acoustics for the main Civic Centre terminal as well as a general acoustic design specification for the many ‘pod’ stations located around the city and suburbs of Cape Town.

Development of the infrastructure is ongoing, with new transport routes being planned for construction over the next few years.
