The Project

Old Mutual head office which is situated in Pinelands, Cape Town was one of the many projects where open plan design and office areas have a complex relationship in regards to the acoustics.

It was noted that some office employees were being disturbed by the noise coming up from the previous open atrium design which in essence interconnected all floors.

Mackenzie Hoy Consulting Engineers were requested by the client in order reduce noise from the atrium into the open plan offices but keep the same internal design.
