Addo Elephant Park, Gqeberha
Mackenzie Hoy Consulting Engineer were contracted to undertake multiple continuous measurements in the soaring heat of Gqeberha, South Africa.
Our great and fearless Gregg Viljoen managed to fight off
wild animals and extreme heat to conduct multiple continuous
sound pressure level measurments (LAeq8hr) in and arround the Addo National Park Elephant Park.
These measurements were to determine the existing sound pressure levels of the
Addo National Park with its amazing wild life that Is presently roaming on the site.
These measurements were also to determine the existing noise levels from the nearby wind turbine farms
to calculate if these large wind driven electricity plants have any affect on the animals that exist there.
Have a look at some of the encounters he faced.
